Email Settings - 10/1/08

(Be sure to read the questions/answers at the bottom)

We are proud to our new email solution effective 10/1/08.  The major highlights for you include:
  • 2 gigs per mailbox (store pretty much everything you want)
  • Integrated virus checking
  • Integrated spam checking
All of your current email will be transferred to the new system and you shouldn't experience any bumps at all.  Your old settings will continue to work until 10/10/08 but you should update your mail client to use the following settings:
  • POP - pop.everyone.net
  • SMTP - smtp.everyone.net
  • IMAP - imap.everyone.net
Your login is still your email address and your password has not changed.  You will also be able to access our web email client at http://webmail.webkit.com/ if you prefer to check your mail that way.

The transition to these new settings will take place at 2pm MST on 10/1/08.  Most email clients will let you have multiple accounts set up.  You might consider setting up a new account with these settings and removing the old account at some point after 10/3.  There will be a five minute transition period at 2pm but after that all of your inbound mail will show up in the new location.  We will also be performing a synchronization after the transition to ensure that any email that DID happen to show up at the old server makes its way to the new one.

Please refer to these documents for guidance on setting up your email clients:

Check back on this page for any updates.  If people have questions we will post them here along with the answers so that all of our customers can benefit from that.

Why isn't my new email showing up at the old server?

New email sent from anywhere other than our own old mailserver after 2pm MST on 10/1 is being sent to the new mail server.  Nothing has been lost.  Mail that is being sent through our old mailserver is still being delivered to the old mailserver.  This mail will be synchronized tonight and again in a day or two.  It will all end up on  new server.

Should I check both old and new servers?

The only mail that will be delivered to the old server is mail being sent from people who have accounts on the old server.  If you get email from people on your own domain then you should check both places.
