Setting up your email clients to use with Webkit's mail server is very easy. The main info you need to know is:
- Your email account (provided to you)
- Your password (provided to you)
- Incoming (pop3) server is: mail.webkit.com
- Outgoing (smtp) server is: mail.webkit.com
**
Note: Some ISP's require you to send outgoing mail through their smtp
server, so if you are having problems sending mail, check with them and
see if that is the case.
Web Mail
** You can check your WebKit mail accounts via webpage at: http://www.webkit.com/email.
This can be useful to log into your account here when you are testing,
and also when you are away from your own computer, you can access your
email. Just remember that this checks for mail on the server. Once
you've downloaded email from the server to your own computer with your
mail client, it is no longer on the server.
Here are some screenshots of email configurations for MS Outlook 2003, to help you with your setup. (Other versions will be very similar.)
Outlook 2003
Click here for the settings screenshot for Outlook. * Outlook express is very similar and the settings are the same.
*
with outlook you can use the 'test settings' button to confirm your
settings are correct and being accessed properly from your computer.
