Mercury Hosting

Do you have your own server? How much better is it to tell your clients that you do? Or better yet, that you can get them their own server? WebKit offers three types of hosting solutions ranging from basic to "the best".

Basic

Host your site on one of our servers, leveraging our Mercury framework. You don't have to purchase Mercury, just pay your monthly fees and use it. We take care of the server maintenance and Mercury upgrades.

Dedicated

You get your own Linux server running our Mercury framework, we set it up for you and perform basic server maintenance. Host as many sites as you'd like for a fixed monthly fee. If your server requirements change we can always add more storage and memory to your solution to grow with you.

Plans include emergency server response, use of all Mercury tools (with ongoing updates and enhancements), use of our client management tools, DNS management and 25 email accounts with spam and virus protection. All user accounts are locked into a secure directory structure, maximizing your server security. Custom server work is not included but is available for a fee. Each server is subject to a one-time setup fee of $149.

If you are a designer looking to service 1-50 average web clients then you should start with Mercury 1. If you end up with specific sites that require more overhead then you can upgrade your plan at any time or set a specific client up on their own plan.

We also offer dedicated Linux servers without Mercury. These can be used to supplement your offerings (more power, space) for less cost. Use one of these servers to house all of your databases or as a file server. If you have purchased your own Mercury license (site or server) then you can also use it on these as well.

Cloud Computing

Enjoy the benefits of redundant hardware and network storage by setting up a cloud solution. Your server is built on a shared 'cloud' of physical servers that automatically take care of load balancing. If the network or hardware on the physical server your system is on fails you will be back online within SECONDS on another system. Cloud computing removes the need for multiple expensive dedicated servers, multiple colocation fees and load balancing software. Get all of the benefits at a fraction of the cost and get 99.999% uptime for your site! Of course our Mercury framework comes standard on our cloud solutions as well.
