Giving Back To The Community

Sharing What We Know

WebKit's partner Denise Dambrackas (of Denver web design company Medulla) teaches a web design class twice a week.  With the end of the class in sight she invited our own Dan Chick and Denver online marketing company Integral OM's Bryan Phillips in to talk to the class about some topics that would enhance what they were learning.

Dan kicked it off by giving a bit of an introduction to the difference between static and dynamic websites, explaining to the designers what sort of process the design of a dynamic site would take and what some of the deliverables might look like.

Bryan continued by sharing why search engine optimization was important and by giving an introduction to some of the steps that are involved in doing a good job of it.  He also showed off Google's webmaster and analytics tools.

The atmosphere was intimate (about a dozen students)  and those listening asked good questions.  Bryan and Dan had a great time and enjoyed giving a little something back to the growth of the industry.

Mod Livin' was our demo site as all three of the instructors have had a hand in its creation and success!
